How We Started

Ardoch Development Trust was started in response to Airtricity (Braes of Doune Wind Farm) approaching the community as a beneficiary of the Windfarm grants, approx £12,000 to disperse annually to Community groups and on facilities

What We Do

ADT aims to inspire our Community to come together for the benefit and sustainable development of both the people and the environment of the area. · We assisted Braco Primary School to source funding to improve their playgroup · We have had a 'Nothing to do in Braco day' when local organisations showed just how much there was to do in Braco and we collected ideas for future projects. · An ECO-day when we gathered a comprehensive range of eco ideas and products. · We are working with Perth and Kinross Bio-diversity officer to improve the surrounds of the graveyards and cemetery in the area. · We are one of the communities in the DTAS Powerdown initiative; we will also be working with the Energy Savings Trust on the carbon footprint of the area · We hold regular Open Evenings · Our main social events are music nights, which we have 3 or 4 times a year
