How We Started

Forres Area Community Trust is a development trust with long term plans to make the Forres area a better place to live, work and visit. Formed in September 2011 in response to the colsure of the RAF Kinloss base, FACT works to benefit the community of the Forres Academy catchment area.

What We Do

Local Development - Led by Development Officer Debbie Herron, current projects include a Community Asset Transfer of Forres Town Hall, progressing the Skatepark initiative and helping develop the town centre and tourism offering through local action groups.

Forres Online - Led by Project Coordinator Samantha Fraser, Forres Online offers free help to use internet services and digital devices. Drop in sessions run Tuesday & Thursday 2-4pm and Friday 10-12pm at our office on 1 Leask Road, Forres.

Older Person's Support - Led by Project Coordinator Kirsty Williams, the Older Person's project is currently setting up a new Befriending Service for the Forres area and will soon be releasing an updated version of the Forres Area Older Person's Directory.
