How We Started

We were set up in August 2013 in response to a need for an organisation to deliver big projects in the community.  We employed our first project officer in December 2013, and a Project Support Officer in May 2015.

What We Do

Help the community to deliver big projects, by accessing funding, connecting groups and organisations and encouraging groups and individuals to develop their projects.  We are also interested in improving access to services and in developing and sharing resources with organisations outside of the community.  We have carried out local consultation into affordable housing, community spaces, and high street regeneration, all of which have been used to develop our priorities for the future, as outlined in our Community Action Plan (2016).

Our Future Plans

We are currently completing one Feasibility Study for the development of our first affordable housing, and another for the creation of a community shop / hub to encourage regeneration of our high street.  We are also working on an Improvement Project for our local park, a Lower Speed Communities pilot in partnership with Living Streets, and investigating options for increased local recycling and upcycling as part of our efforts to decrease our community's carbon footprint.
