How We Started

Established in 1999.

What We Do

We are engaged in a wide range of activities including:
• Provision of sports and recreational activities
• The conservation and development of a heritage site close to the village
• Development of 2 adventure playgrounds
• Establishment of a caravan park
• Production of a fortnightly paper
• Production of a Tourist Brochure & Walking Brochure
• Lease of a building used as a I.T. Learning Centre, and Museum with additional space rented by the Action Team for Jobs and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
• Management of 2 plantations
• Manage a series of walking areas and car park
Most recently we purchased and refurbished Garan House as a community house. It provides office accommodation for the Group, meeting space for other community groups and for the start up of small business operations. Currently we are actively looking to establish a sports complex in the village and develop a heritage site.
