Cassiltoun Housing Association is a community owned housing association managing its own stock of 1,000 houses and is part of a group of companies, the other two being:
The Cassiltoun Trust, was set up specifically to undertake the conversion of the Stables Block into a community asset, providing offices, a nursery, and education and recreation facilities and some housing. The Trust worked with both Glasgow City Council and the Glasgow Buildings Preservation Trust and secured a total of £4.2 million through 22 funders to achieve this. Work started in August 2005, and the transformed structure was officially opened two years later. The building uses ground source heat pumps and sun spaces which keeps the running costs low as there are no heating costs. There are plans to create a multi-sensory walled garden and an orchard.
Cassiltoun Services which acts as a vehicle to help the economic regeneration of Castlemilk by supporting existing businesses and helping to create new business ventures.
