Established 2001

The initial focus of the Trust was to purchase the Old School in New Galloway with the intention of using it to provide high quality community and arts events for the area thereby providing a focal point for community and social activity and an opportunity to promote the attractions of the area to visitors. Activities to date include: - Purchase of and basic repair work to the Old School - Work to secure the funding for the conversion of the school into a community and arts centre continues. - Provision of a community minibus - Production and publication of a bi-monthly community newspaper - Design and implementation of the Jubilee walk - Delivery of a programme of arts events, including traditional music workshops, photographic and art exhibitions, and talks by international writers. - Supporting youth, business and mother and toddler groups set up
