Newburgh Community Trust - Tayside & Fife

Established 2006

Newburgh Community Trust aims to be the main vehicle for raising community involvement in protecting and enhancing our heritage. NCT will reduce the environmental footprint through the use of renewable energy. Currently the following projects are underway or have been achieved: - We have purchased the sea wall and three of the former industrial piers. - We are applying for grants in order to repair and upgrade these to allow commercial and recreational boats to visit. - We have upgraded the riverside path which is part of a much wider network - We have registered an interest in a redundant reservoir under the Land Reform Act. - We operate, along with other charities, a shop in Newburgh. - We are pursuing planning permission to erect community-owned wind turbines
